North Coast Yacht Club
It is our great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all members, visitors, and boating enthusiasts exploring our vibrant north coast community. NCYC was born from a passion for creating a member-driven organization that prioritizes the best interests of our boating family. Our club offers numerous opportunities to connect, learn, and explore beautiful Lake Erie islands and waters. We invite you to join us for our upcoming cruises and gatherings—let's make lasting memories together. Fair winds and following seas!
ABOUT THE CLUB
Founded in 2023 by a group of 10 individuals who collectively boast over 100 years of experience in yacht club membership, boating operations and community engagement. Our club prides itself on creating a low-pressure and informal environment where members can share experiences and learn from one another.
The North Coast Yacht Club strives to (1) To promote sailing and boating activities among members, (2) to foster a community of boating enthusiasts, (3) to provide facilities and services for the enjoyment of sailing and boating, (4) to promote safety, education, and environmental stewardship in boating and (5) to encourage sociability and friendship among members.
We hold full membership in the Inland Lake Yachting Association (I-LYA) and the Associated Yacht Clubs (AYC) with the reciprocal privileges that accompany those memberships. ACA clubs host regattas and social events throughout the season and I-LYA’s Bay Week at Put in Bay is very popular.
MEMBER BENEFITS
Joining the North Coast Yacht Club (NCYC) opens the door to experiences designed for boating enthusiasts of all levels. This year we start our programming in February supporting members who wish to attend the Port Clinton Burning Snowman event. Our Club gets into full swing with social programs offered May through September. Our year culminates in December with our Change of Watch and Holiday Social.
The Cruising Program offers a chance to get out on the water with fellow club members going to destinations along Ohio’s north coast, Ontario’s southern shores and of course the Lake Erie islands. Complemented by social activities that celebrate the spirit of adventure and fellowship.
Of course the Club offers opportunities for year-round camaraderie through casual events at our Clubhouse. The member’s club house provides a relaxed environment where members can connect and swap stories while sipping a beverage and enjoying a million dollar view of Lake Erie.
TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP, our membership application can be accessed through a link on this page or in person at our Clubhouse when visiting. Submit your application with applicable dues and initiation fee on line or via US Mail. New memberships are reviewed and approved on a monthly basis.
